Marion Conover Stout, 97, of Brigantine passed away on Wednesday February 28, 2018 at home surrounded by love.

Marion was born in Atlantic City to Milton and Marian (nee Jones) Conover. Marion moved from Atlantic City to Brigantine in 1954. She became a member of the Community Presbyterian Church in Brigantine on July 8, 1958 and remained an active member until her passing. She taught Sunday school, served on numerous church committees and was a treasured member of the church choir. She previously was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church in Atlantic City.

Marion loved to sing and also enjoyed playing golf for many years.

Marion was a graduate of Atlantic City High School and became a hairdresser extraordinaire at the age of 17, continuing until just a few months prior to her passing. Some of her salons included Tres Chic (Margate), Todd D'Paul Stylists (Ventnor) and Animations (Ventnor). When Todd D'Paul closed its doors, she was not ready to retire and found another position with Animations at the age of 94. Because of that, Marion was featured in the newspapers and salon magazines and received well wishes from across the country!

Marion served as Past Matron of the Order of the Eastern Star of New Jersey Keystone Chapter #69 in Linwood as well as a previous member of Atlantic City Chapter #53.

Marion was the beloved wife of the late Royce J. Stout Jr. They were married on May 17, 1943. He passed away on October 6, 1972. She is also predeceased by her son Royce J Stout III who passed away on October 10, 2009, her brother Milton Conover, her in-laws Royce Stout Sr. and Alice Edwards Stout and a very special friend Anthony Clark.

Marion is survived by her daughter-in-law Judith S. Stout of Exton Pa., her grandson Royce C. Stout and his wife Anne of Lititz, Pa, her granddaughter Brynn E. Tatarowicz and her husband John of Turnersville, NJ, great-grandsons Cole R. Stout, Liam J. Stout, Evan J. Tatarowicz and Judah McCoy. She is also survived by her nephew Paul Conover and family of Florida and very special cousins and friends.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Memorial Service at 11am on Saturday March 17, 2018 at the Community Presbyterian Church, 1501 West Brigantine Ave. Brigantine. NJ 08203. Interment will be private.
